General Description: A Pair of Bouquets with Hand-blown Turquoise Blue Sandwich Glass Inserts in Classical Mask-Design Gilt Bronze Holders on Marble Bases, probably by Henry N. Hooper & Co. of Boston , c. 1845. Original "ormolu" finish.

Details: Bouquets, as they were called in the period, were displayed on mantels filled with fresh or dried flowers. They are related in form to the girandole candlesticks so popular at the time.
