A Philadelphia Classical Pier TableStatus: Sold General Description: A handsome classical carved mahogany marble top Pier Table, attributed to Anthony G. Quervelle, Philadelphia, circa 1825. Details: Front scrolled console supports are finely carved with grapes and vineleaves and acanthus leafage, supported by lion paw feet on a shaped lower shelf with demilune "pie-wedge" inlay, all on lion paw feet. Later marble top. Almost identical to a pier table by Anthony G. Quervelle illustrated in Robert C. Smith, The Furniture of Anthony G.
