Rufus King Paris Porcelain Dinner Service, circa 1825Status: For Sale General Description: THE RUFUS KING PARIS PORCELAIN DINNER SERVICE: According to a direct descendant, this service, consisting of "Vintage" pattern bordered pieces on a salmon background and matching plain salmon and gold on white, was ordered from Paris by Rufus King circa Details: Rufus King of Massachusetts and New York, was a Revolutionary War hero, a lawyer and a signer of the U.S. Constitution. This service was ordered for use at the American Legation in London, where King served two terms as Minister (the highest diplomatic rank at the time). Identical matching pieces of this extensive service, in both designs, have descended in his family.
