General Description: A Superb Carved, Gilded, Ebonized and Stenciled Pier Table with Ormolu Mounts and Marble Top, Columns and Pilasters, New York, circa 1825.
Details: The original hand-hewn marble top, columns and pilasters are in fine unrepaired condition. Original ebonized surfaces and striking gilt penwork and stenciled borders on apron and lower shelf, richly and tastefully embellished with a full range of Classical decorative motifs, including anthemions, palmettes, urns and rosettes. Handsomely carved and gilded under-shelf leafage brackets and contrasting gilt and ebonized acanthus-carved feet. Height: 37-1/2 inches; Width: 40 inches; Depth: 21 inches.
