General Description: A Rare and Handsome Four-light Ormolu and Damascened Gas Chandelier, attributed to Cornelius & Baker, Philadelphia, circa 1850. Finish in exceptional original condition.

Details: The damascened decoration on the central element holding the top hooks of the chains, at the very top of the shaft has been restored. Height: c. 32 inches; Spread (to outside edge of globes): c. 34 inches. This chandelier was rented for use and appears in Dr. Sloper's Front Parlor in the film of Henry James' Washington Square.
