General Description: Fourteen Rare Jiaqing Period China Trade Goauches on Paper for the Western Market showing Exotic Types of Junks from Different Provinces, Canton, circa 1800-1810; and a fifteenth similar gouache of An Eagle-decorated Junk, Same Period.

Details: Fourteen superb original condition with full borders and descriptions in English and Chinese characters. Together with a similar gouache of an eagle-decorated Junk of same period. Consisting of: "Chinaware Boat", "A Large Canton Wang Lao, or Flower Boat", "a Pleasure Boat", "Heong Saan, Cargo Boat"; "Duck Boat"; "a Despatch Boat"; "Moc Maa Shune or Mandarine Boat"; "Suee Tchai Passage Boat"; "The Quong Cho Foo's - Guard Boat"; "Pleasure Boat - Suee Chao"; "a Salt Junk - Canton"; "A Cargo Boat - Quang Sy"; "a Player's Boat"; "Pleasure Boat, Province Suee chao". The fifteenth gouache is of a colorful Junk with a carved eagle on the back. Framed Width: 20-3/4 inches; Height: 17-1/2 inches.
