General Description: An Extremely Rare and Fine Classical Ormolu-mounted Hexagonal Cut and Etched Crystal Hall Lantern, Boston, probably Hooper & Co., circa 1840. Original gilding.
Details: Rare form. With alternating wheel-cut and acid-etched panels of gothic arches and diamond-shaped panels enclosing floral rosettes on heavy cut flint crystal. Electrified. Height: Lantern with collar: 15-1/4 inches, Total drop from Smoke Bell to candleholder 25 1/4 inches; Width: 15-1/4 inches.
